There is a navigator in a New Feather dress wandering up and down the rows of what she thought was her own mikan grove, looking thoroughly lost. This isn't her dress. That isn't her cottage. This isn't her book, even if it has her name on it. (She hasn't really looked closely at it yet; just kind of picked it up and claimed it because it said Nami on the front, so finders keepers.) Not to worry; if nobody is around, she'll eventually snap out of her daze and kick the cottage door open in a fit of temper, then sit down in a place that looks long abandoned and aggressively read a lot of notes. And be...

...well, she's no less confused. What the hell.

Also, she's kind of angry. That's to be expected, right?

In the afternoon, she visits the village proper and does a full round of the stores in the plaza, both looking for (a) her own things, and (b) anything that might be remotely valuable she can swipe from the stores, because supposedly it's free. Hell, while she's at it, she might as well take any clothing that looks cute. When the going gets tough, the tough go shopping. Cliche smiche, it makes her feel better.

She'll also flop down in Seventh Heaven and grab some lunch. Inevitably she'll end up in Good Spirits some time after that, because this situation is freakish and some people have recognised her and that's weird so free alcohol is an excellent idea. And it's from there she makes a quick voice post.]

So I've apparently been here before. I don't remember you, sorry. [Not sorry. But.] Is there anyone else here from East Blue?

[With a bit of flourish, Norma exits back toward the bar, thinking as she goes. Something strong, but flavorful...enough to give a buzz right away and more as you go. Hm, hm, she can't judge this chick's taste, but maybe one of the mix specials should do the trick. Aha! She knows just the thing!

In about ten or so minutes (Norma has other customers to tend to), she returns with a colorful drink and places it before the newcomer.]

That's just silly. You guys... you get along better than you'd think. [He can't forget how fondly she had talked about their adventures and dreams together. He almost says more, but he holds himself back. Remembering the example of Katara... he realizes it's best to not tell people more about their future than he should.]

I've got no idea what den den mushi is, but a camera's a step in the right direction! Basically, you use special camera to record moving images and sound, then you get to play them back on screens! Depending on the screen, it's a tv or movie. Either way, it's totally awesome.

I know the place! I was in there earlier. Are all the weapons in there things that belong to other people here?

No. I am here with a lot of friends, luckily. It helps adjust to this place. And the other people here help too.

It seems to be a long-term assignment; my understanding of her position is that she helps the transition of those who may be in this world for a ... longer stay than others. I believe she is available over the journals, but I have not reached out to her since she invited everyone in the village to have tea with her and speak of their concerns.

[He nods at Nami now.] This must be quite a change from what you are used to.

Tradewind, huh? [That's a good name. Nami smiles faintly, reaaching forward for the glass.] Thanks, Norma. I will.

She raises an eyebrow.

"So does that mean you're a smuggler, or are you a marine that takes a lot of bribes?" Nami very deliberately leaves out the word pirate.

Perfect. [She casts a guilty look at the glass. What, did she want to remind herself every day of what a bitch she was?] I bet she had excellent reasons.

Perfect. [She'd wondered about that. Nami waves back at her as she heads in that direction, swinging her skirt idly with the other hand.] Be right back.

[And vanishing into the changeroom she goes.]

Ah... [That's the second time someone's mentioned a duck. Nami pauses for a moment, but as far as she can see Luke isn't some guy with claws that's giving thought to ripping her face off or something.] To be honest, I'm not sure what's up with the duck. That's news to me.

Ah. [Awk...ward...]

So I guess this is kinda rough for you. I do have a sister, but... yeah.

[Oh good, it's another one. Nami doesn't break stride, scooping up another set of clothes.] Thought you might have. [Actually, she thought no such thing but she'd tired of being surprised. Whatever.] I've read the guide. I'm just here to shop, if you don't mind. Does that mean you're not going to give me a hand?
