There is a navigator in a New Feather dress wandering up and down the rows of what she thought was her own mikan grove, looking thoroughly lost. This isn't her dress. That isn't her cottage. This isn't her book, even if it has her name on it. (She hasn't really looked closely at it yet; just kind of picked it up and claimed it because it said Nami on the front, so finders keepers.) Not to worry; if nobody is around, she'll eventually snap out of her daze and kick the cottage door open in a fit of temper, then sit down in a place that looks long abandoned and aggressively read a lot of notes. And be...

...well, she's no less confused. What the hell.

Also, she's kind of angry. That's to be expected, right?

In the afternoon, she visits the village proper and does a full round of the stores in the plaza, both looking for (a) her own things, and (b) anything that might be remotely valuable she can swipe from the stores, because supposedly it's free. Hell, while she's at it, she might as well take any clothing that looks cute. When the going gets tough, the tough go shopping. Cliche smiche, it makes her feel better.

She'll also flop down in Seventh Heaven and grab some lunch. Inevitably she'll end up in Good Spirits some time after that, because this situation is freakish and some people have recognised her and that's weird so free alcohol is an excellent idea. And it's from there she makes a quick voice post.]

So I've apparently been here before. I don't remember you, sorry. [Not sorry. But.] Is there anyone else here from East Blue?

...mm, yeah. [Logically, she agrees. And then Nami remembers all the things she never tells people for the sake of good intention. It's probably like that. She can't hold it against them.

So, a small shift in subject.]

[Hahaha yes, surprise spotted. On the other hand, Nami doesn't really assume anything more by it. She just assumes six is an empty house by now.

So she grins at the orchard comment.]

I should hope so. Here. [Have another armful :D]

[And thus this realisation passed like a ship in the night.]

Well...good. Yes. Anwyay, have you ever seen anyone else up here? Like a girl with blue hair and a tattoo like--

--well, tattoos, anyway.

...I guess it would, really. [Food for thought. She hadn't thought about that before; probably if she was stuck here with no obligations, things might be different. Especially if Luffy and the others had also been here.] I wonder what I was like when I very first arrived. Uh, the first time. That is.

[Nami has no idea why you're thinking that either, Shikamaru. ~~She always thought Sasuke was a twit~~]

Mmm, that's good sense. [She's just disgruntled because-- well, first day shocks and all. It's hard enough to be kidnapped and branded and wing-splanted. And then welcomed back by people with the oddest crestfallen faces.] I think everyone just needs time to adjust. Who knows. Maybe I'll get my memory back or something.

[Vash eyes the second armful of clothes that are piled onto his arms.] Ah, I think I'm going to need you to open the door at this rate though.

No. I have not seen this person.

All right, thanks anyway. Guess I'll go looking in the village, then. Maybe they can tell me what happened.

I think I can manage that. Hold still for a bit. [And with another armful of clothes, she vanishes into the dressing room.]

Hmm, so tempting to just order one of everything. I'll take another Tradewind though while I make up my mind. [Two of those should be enough to disconnect her from this place a little. She begins perusing the menu.]

[Dear lord, kid, breathe. That being said, such three distinctly different descriptions means she can only be talking to one of them.] Sounds like Suki, then! She's nice.

Yeah, but that doesn't mean they want to be. [She gives him a small sort of half-grin.] Besides, there's not much else to say.

It is a nice mix, though. Did she make it up?

Ah. Way down south? [That'd also make sense. She thinks of North Blue. He's got the similar sort of colouring, and it's damn cold up there.] I think I get you. The weather's more moderate here, huh?

[Vash shifts the weight of the clothes in his arms as Nami goes in to try on the clothes she's picked out. Looking around to see if there was a spot he could set his arm load down on until she was done.]

For now. Winter is coming. It's not as cold as our winters are, but... it's definitely frigid.

What happened?

OH! Ikki is from my world. She's my friend's grandchild, which is a bit weird, seeing how he's our age here.

This place gets complicated.

Sorry, I can't tell you that. We didn't actually meet in person until you'd been here for a little while.

[A sailor? Not a pirate? Though his face doesn't betray his surprise, Albert finds himself focusing on Nami's face a moment longer than perhaps comfortable. It had been several years, true, but she didn't appear much different from when he had first seen her arrive in Luceti.]

I can't say I have had to deal with that myself. But it certainly sounds ... invasive. [Yes. That was definitely how he would feel about it in a similar situation.] Are they being insistent in their knowing you?
