[No two ways about it, the weather's getting colder.  It's got to the point it's very seriously unattractive to go riverdiving, okay.  And it's been a month, and she's still here and that sucks, so... time to actually make decisions like she's going to be stuck here for a while.]

Is there anyone in town who could help me out with some plumbing installation at the mikan grove?  I don't have running water up where I live and it's kind of getting cold, so...

...ah, I could pay you in fruit.  There's a lot of it and it's getting pretty ripe now.  Or we can work something else out.

Oh, speaking of which, I know this place has got harvested every year by...uh... me.  I guess.  It's getting around that time of the year.  I'd appreciate it if anyone would be willing to give me a hand, say, first Saturday in November?   There's like a shed up here with baskets and everything, so just... bring yourselves, I guess.

[Not a lot of action to be had today that sounds dirty because Nami is avoiding the village itself due to certain new arrivals, gosh.  GOOD THING HE DOESN'T KNOW ABOUT THE ORCHARD, RIGHT.

Yeah. Uh-- well, I assume so. I don't really know much about plumbing. [Sheepish.]

I mean, you're not talking about outdoor faucets or irrigation systems, are you?

Oh! No, not at all. I mean, I have an orchard but it seems to have irrigation set up already. I'm thinking more that I really miss having hot showers in the morning.

I'm Donatello... [He trails off awkwardly.] Are you sure you don't mind me being in your bathroom?

No. It's not like I'll be in there at the same time. [The place has weirdass ponies and dragon chicks, man. Nami has just decided to roll with what anyone looks like. You seem nice enough.

[If it helps, after a few seconds of staring (...he isn't wearing clothes 8|) Nami shakes her head. Not exactly polite to stare. He probably comes from a world where everyone's green and naked, WHO KNOWS.]

Yeah! Come on in. [She opens the door wide.] It's just across from the kitchen, this way.

[Don follows Nami to the bathroom, glancing around the house as he goes.]

So, do you like living out here?

So far. It's a bit dark at night, I guess, but it's away from the village, and I love the orchard. [She opens the door on a reasonably small bathroom, but it still manages to have a shower over a bath.]

My best guess is whoever was building never got around to finishing it. There's pipes and things set up, I think...? But no actual water.

No water...? [Do you perhaps have real functioning pipes, and not magical pipes like the houses in the village have?]

[Excuse him while he pokes at the wall around your faucets.]

None. I've been bringing water up from the river by bucket. Which admittedly isn't that hard, but I can't heat it all that effectively. [Given the river runs right past a corner of her orchard. There are actually pipes, because the cottage was built in a normal fashion. Just never got around to connecting it down to a water supply, alas.]

Excellent. [A REAL PLUMBING JOB, HE IS SO HAPPY.] Do you know where the pipes come into the house?

Um... no idea, sorry. I just assumed they were connected in here somehow...

[Not so good at this maintenance handyman thing.]

I'll figure it out. [He cracks his knuckles and leans over the edge of the tub.] Do you have self-healing walls here?

Afraid not. [She'd tested that herself with just a little chipping. It makes her feel better about the place, quite honestly.] But as long as you're not causing great holes to the outside world, a little damage is worth the hot water. I can get it fixed up afterward.

...is there anything I can do to help?

It's a good thing, actually. This is going to take more than one day, and re-opening the walls every morning is a real pain in the shell.

Let me take a look at your plumbing, and then we'll see what needs to be done and how we can divide the work. [Wait.] - You don't have any special powers, do you?
